Drop Off
Student Drop off:
Kindergarten - Enter Door 3 near the Kindergarten playground and Main St.
1st and 2nd grades, and Mr. Yasukawa's 4th grade class - Enter Door 8
3rd, 4th, and 5th grades - Enter Door 4 in the courtyard.
Washington School is a neighborhood school and we encourage all of our families to walk to school.
Arriving by Bike: There are several bike racks to accommodate students who ride their bikes.
Arriving by Car: If you choose to drive, the official drop off area for Washington is at the intersection of Florence and Lee. The Robert Crown parking lot is also a safe spot for parking and drop off. For the safety of all of our students we insist that families do not drop off in the school parking lot or on Ashland Street. This also helps ensure that the parking lot has adequate space for our teachers & staff.
Students should line up 3 feet apart in the designated area for their grade level. We ask parents to drop off children at the sidewalk to allow more space for distancing in the line up area.

New Family Partnership
Our new family partner program usually runs throughout August. New families can expect to receive an email or phone call from a current Washingon family. This family is your resource for any Washington related questions - and a first welcome into the Washington community! Questions about the program? Please email our New Family Partnership Coordinator Claire Bain.
