Expectations and Norms

Playworks

Playworks’ mission is to improve the health and well-being of all children by increasing opportunities for physical activity and safe, meaningful play, and to bring more structure to unstructured time.  We also aim to introduce greater organization to unstructured periods. Read more about this nationwide program. 

• Selected Student Recess Ambassadors (SRAs) form a small team of 3-4 students in each homeroom (3rd-5th grade). Once per week, they will oversee a designated area of the playground during their recess time. Their primary task is to ensure the safety and inclusiveness of play, all the while embracing a leadership role. 

Restorative Practices

We believe in restorative practices to resolve conflicts, focusing on understanding and repairing relationships.
